Customer Solutions Program

Available to all faith-based buildings that have a commercial electricity account, this program you can access energy audits organized by Take Charge staff at 50% of the cost (up to $3,000). Once an energy audit is completed, then a project proposal is filled out by the organization in charge of the building and submitted to Take Charge.

Take Charge will review the proposal and then work out a project development agreement. Up to $50,000 can be accessed for energy efficiency upgrades through this program.

Commercial Rebate Program

Available to all faith-based buildings that have a commercial electricity account. Access rebates for replacement of thermostats, light bulbs and occupancy sensors by simply buying the occupancy sensor (make sure it is an energy star rated product). Keep all receipts. You will need to submit a copies with your rebate application.

Its recommend that qualified electricians install your occupancy sensors and programmable thermostats.

Isolated System Business Efficiency Program

Available to all faith-based buildings that have a commercial electricity account that is part of an isolated electricity system. If your faith-based building is in a community that is powered by a local diesel power generation facility, then you can get up 80% of your energy efficiency project costs covered through this program.

Newfoundland and Labrador Net Metering Program

For Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro Company Customers, this would allow for a renewable energy source to feed into the electricity grid from a private property.
